Black Tie. A “black-tie" wedding means guests can choose to wear black tie (tuxedos for men and formal gowns for women) or a more formal, but less strict, option like a dark suit and tie for men, and cocktail dresses for women. Additionally, since we got married in Scotland, we’re requesting that you accent your formal wear with an element of your family’s tartan or a Stewart tartan “plaid” - although certainly not required.
